Now think of someone who you have positive feelings towards. It could be a close friend or relative, or anyone you love or respect. Silently repeat these phrases in your head directed towards that person.

While repeating the phrases, try to bring an image of the person to mind. If it is hard for your visualize, try to feel a sense of the person. Also, pay attention to what is happening in your chest. How does your heart feel?
