Your Body's Energy Field
You will start by practicing a stopping meditation for about 5 minutes, until
you have significantly slowed down the flow of thoughts in your mind.
This practice involves noticing the energy in a part of your body and then
concentrating fully on it.
The following procedure will help you notice the energy.
First, focus your attention on your body. Do a quick body scan, starting at
your feet and noticing any sensations, going up to your head.
If you notice any tingling sensations, focus on that point. Put all your attention
and concentration into focusing there. Likely, you will feel the tingling
in your hands or feet.
If you don't feel any sensations, take several deep breaths into your stomach
and visualize yourself breathing in a golden light that spreads throughout
your body. Notice any sensations that arise and continue to focus on them.
Don't think about the sensations!! Feel them. If you do not understand what
this means, then you should continue practicing stopping and seeing meditation.
